These tests by brainbench seem fairly common. I've come across a few lately in the placement process. One for Visual Basic and one Mod Perl. Thanks for the info about the time affecting it. Now I won't run off and make coffee halfway through. I'll try to resist taking practice runs - seems all too doable though. Then again, if you are smart enough to get the test right one way or another - you are probably smart enough to be a good hire.
