Congratulations!
Posted by Francesca at July 4, 2005 04:33Yeah, I can still remember the first time standing on my leg again after 13 weeks in plaster. Just the joy at being able to do all the usual shit, without the grief of being non-mobile.
That, and getting to clean off the accumulated layers of grime, starting by just scraping away with a steel ruler, and finishing with tweezers on all the ingrown hairs.
Its the little things in life that matter.

I'd guess such an intuition is also evidence that you DID THIS RIGHT.
Jez: duuuuddee... steel ruler? One of the nurses taught me a neat trick: use Aqueous Cream. It's your usual paraffin based gunk but heavily emulsified with water to the point it's a thick liquid. Goop it all over an area, massage in, and dead skin practically peels off.
Your skin is left enviably smooth too! Who needs expensive cosmetics when you can spooge on churned up oil & water? Woohoo!
