Not as good as the photos that you showed us yesterday in hospital Paul (the colour is not as pretty for a start) but here is a medical picture of a subtalar joint:

Claire! I saw the post-op xray today and it looks a lot like that, the screws and metal honeycomb. Calcaneus burst fracture.
